
Welcome to the Crosstown League! Climbers compete in teams of 3 for 6 weeks to be crowned the Crosstown Champs and to bring the Crosstown Cup back to their gym! Be ready to try hard, meet the FA bouldering community, and most importantly have a good time in this lighthearted competition.

League Format
- Spring Season 3/24 – 5/8
- 5 Week Regular Season meets the weeks of 3/24, 3/31, 4/14, 4/21, and 4/28
- Spring Break the week of 4/7 – 4/11
- League Finals week of 5/5 – Details below
- Teams of 3 – Sign up as a full team or a pair/solo and we’ll place you on a team
- Climb in person 6-11pm Mondays at Block 37, Tuesdays at Uptown, and Thursdays at Humboldt Park
- Sign up to rep your home gym – but climb at any FA Bouldering location during the above league times
- Climbers can climb at one, two, or all three league nights each week from 6-11pm. Most folks climb for 2-3 hours during league.
- Two Categories – Select a category based on the grade you can typically send in 1-2 sessions
- Recreational: Up to V4
- Intermediate: V5-V6
- Open Category: V6+ and Up
- There is no lower grade limit for Int & Open – All of your climbs do not need to be V5-6 or V6+
Scoring Details
- Climbs included in the league will be assigned a point value
- Individual Score:
- Rec – Top 6 climbs/week, Intermediate – Top 5 climbs/week, Open – Top 4 climbs/week
- Score up to 2 climbs outside of your home gym each week
- Team Score: The sum of all 3 individual scores + any team bonus points
- Weeks 1-5 Regular Season: Team Scores accumulate weeks 1-5
- Week 6 Team Onsight Finals:
- Rec & Intermediate: The top teams at each gym after week 5 will advance to finals taking place at each gym during their regular league night. Teams that advance to finals must compete at their home gym
- Open: The top teams from each gym will compete in a combined finals at Humboldt Park on Thursday 5/8
Crosstown Champs: The top 5 teams in each category (across all 3 gyms) will be crowned as the Crosstown Champs, taking home bragging rights and … prizes!
The Crosstown Cup: The winning gym will be engraved on the Crosstown Cup to be cemented in the prestigious chronicles of League History. The trophy hopped on up to Uptown last Fall – Is that where it will stay?
Absence Policy: Going to miss a night? Climbers will be able to climb during another league night or have another climber sub in for them.
