Cities/Chicago/Programs/Youth Programs/Youth Climbing Classes

OUR MISSION: uphold a fun and intentional space that empowers youth to pursue resilience, passion, excellence, and community through the sport of rock climbing

Climbing evokes a mix of physical, mental and emotional challenges making it a prime environment for kids to develop skills in problem-solving, self-reliance, discipline, teamwork, and character.

Our grade-based, progressive program is designed to provide a structured approach for kids of all abilities.

HOW IT WORKS

  • All climbers in Grades 2-8 begin in our 4-week Foundations class which is designed to equip your climber with the skills they’ll need to move into our ongoing youth classes. Repetition is encouraged!
  • After completing core Foundations skills, your climber will be ready to move into an ongoing class. You’ll receive an email to choose which class works best for your schedule (see full class schedule below).
  • Climbers PreK, K-1, and High School enroll directly into their age-appropriate ongoing class (no pre-requisite required!)
  • Ongoing classes are grouped by grade and billed in 8-week cycles.
  • To continue enrollment, you’ll opt into your class every 8-weeks via email. Should you decide to discontinue classes, simply don’t opt-in for the next 8-week billing period
  • Student/teacher ratio:
    Grades K-4: 4 to 1
    Grades 4 and up: 6 to 1
