Registration fee includes 6 weeks of League action, a League t-shirt or tank, invite to the League after party, and a chance to win great prizes from FA and our partners.
League Format
- 6 Week Season – Starting on April 15 and ending on May 20. Five Week Regular Season + Flash Finals.
- Climb in person – 6pm to 9pm Wednesdays OR Thursdays during the regular season.
- Teams of 3 – Sign up as a full team or a pair/solo and we’ll place you on a team.
- Three Climbing Categories – Climb with your friends or meet new friends who climb in the same climbing category as you!
- Recreation: VB to V3 (projecting V3 / V4)
- Intermediate: V4 to V6 (projecting V6 / V7)
- Open: V7 and up
- Climbers must compete in the category of their most skilled climber. For example: A climber who’s projecting V3 (Recreation) wants to compete on a team with their friend projecting V5s. They must compete in Intermediate.
- Registration Fee:
- Registration closes April 13
- Members: $49 from March 26 to April 13
- Guests: $89 from March 26 to April 13
- Registration covers gym entry from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesdays OR Thursdays during league season; no need to purchase an additional day pass.
Scoring Details
- Climbs included in the league will be assigned a point value based on their grade with an available flash bonus.
- Individual Score:
- Recreation & Intermediate: Top 6 Scores will be submitted from each teammate each week
- Advanced: Top 5 Scores will be submitted from each teammate each week
- Team Score: The sum of all 3 individual scores + any team bonus points.
- Weeks 1 to 5 – Regular Season: Team Scores accumulate weeks 1 – 5.
- Week 6 – Flash Finals: The top teams with the highest cumulative team score at each gym on week 5 will advance to finals. You will be given time to preview. All league participants are invited to cheer on the finalists and participate in our after-party.
Bouldering League Champs: The top 3 teams will be crowned as the FA Bouldering League Champs in each climbing category, taking home bragging rights, prizes, and all the glory!
Absence Policy: Going to miss a night? Climbers will be able to climb on either Wednesday OR Thursday night OR they can have another climber sub in for them and climb during a designated league night.
FA Station Square staff reserve the right to bump a team up a category if climbers are routinely outperforming their category during the season.
