It’s our birthday! To celebrate four years of FA Station Square, we’re back with another Community Competition! We’ll start the afternoon with climbing at 1 PM and end with cake and drinks!
Competition Format
- Standard Redpoint Format – attempts are used to break ties among competitors.
- Three Categories
- Recreational: Up to V3, projecting V4 | Intermediate: V4 to V5, projecting V6 | Open: V6+
- Recreational category will be coed.
- Intermediate & Open climbers select a division to compete in: Men/Non-Binary or Women/Non-Binary.
- Top 5 climbs count toward your overall score.
- Top 3 Scorers in Recreational will win prizes.
- Top 5 scorers in Intermediate & Open Categories will compete in finals to crown the top 3 for prizes.
- If there are not 5 finalists in a given division to compete in Finals for the Intermediate or Open category, the top scorers from the preceding category will be invited to compete in Finals.
- The gym will be open for regular business during Send-Fest, but Competition Climbs on the Scoop, Wedge and Point & Finals Boulders will be off limits until the competition is over.
- Stick around for Finals! All competitors will be offered cake and beverages (beer and non-alcoholic options will be available).
Schedule
- 12 PM to 12:45 PM: Check In and Warm Up
- 12:45 PM: Rules review for competitors (Classic Redpoint competition).
- 1 PM to 4 PM: Climb!
- 4 PM to 5 PM: Scorecards submitted & assessed. Top 3 Recreation Climbers awarded.
- 5 PM to 7 PM: Finals for Intermediate & Advanced climbers, followed by awards, drinks and cake!
