Join us for our third annual citizen's rope climbing competition!

We’re excited to host our third annual rope competition for the community here in Peoria! We’ll kick it off with quality routes you’ve come to expect from our setting team and end with a rockin’ after party with drinks and pizza included for all our competitors!

Help us pack the house for Finals! It’s free to spectate, but food and drinks are for competitors only.

Here are the details:

Rock The Pillar Rope Competition

Sunday March 30th

2:00-5:30 PM: Qualifiers

6 PM: Finals + After Party

Members: $45
Non-Members: $55

Registration includes a t-shirt, after party food and drinks, and a chance to win some great prizes!

NOTE: shirts are guaranteed for competitors who register by Wed., March 19. Registrations received after 3/19 will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Here’s how the competition will work:

Register in one of three categories (each category has a Mens and Womens division). Choose your category based on the grade you can send in 1-2 sessions:

Recreational – Top Rope Only: up to 5.10-
Intermediate – Top Rope Only: 5.10-5.11
Advanced – Lead only: 5.11+ & up

**Competitors must be at least 14 years old and have a top rope or lead tag to participate. USAC climbers who are competing in the Collegiate National Qualifying Event on Saturday 3/29 at First Ascent Peoria cannot compete in Rock the Pillar on Sunday 3/30.

Qualifying follows a Modified Redpoint format

Climbers will be scored by highest marked hold they reach on their climb
3 attempts per route
Top 3 climbers in Intermediate and Advanced categories will advance to finals
All competitors are welcome to stay during finals and the after party

Finals follows an Onsight Format

Onsight – climbers will be scored by highest marked zone they reach on their climb
1 route per category, 1 attempt only!
Intermediate Finals will be top rope, Advanced Finals will be lead only
