Here's your step-by-step guide to visiting FA with a Day Pass or 10-Pass.
Don’t have your own climbing gear? No problem – we rent all the gear you need at each of our locations.
Your first visit will include a detailed facility orientation. If you’d like some climbing instruction, we recommend booking a Guided Session above or checking out our climbing classes.
Below, you can find Individual, Student, and Family Pass options.
You can purchase online ahead of time or at the front desk when you visit.
Interested in Membership? Check out First Ascent’s membership options here.
A la carte Rental Gear options are also available: $6 for shoes, $5 for harness, and $2 for chalk. Just speak with a friendly front desk staff member when you visit.
Children under 18 and students with a valid student ID are eligible for Student Day Pass and 10 Pass options.
Students: please bring a valid student ID with you to show our friendly front desk staff when you check in.
Get your whole family climbing! Family Passes include up to 2 adults and all children under 18 from the same household.
Parents, please note: all children under 14 must be actively supervised by an adult. Active supervision means staying with your children on bouldering pads at all times, making sure they are following the bouldering guidelines and being respectful of other climbers. If you’d like your kids to work with an instructor, please check out our Kids Classes & Programs.
Purchase the option that best fits you above when you arrive.
How to get here: we’re located at 701 Rohlwing Rd, Arlington Heights, IL.. We have plenty of free parking on site.
What to wear: We recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move freely. Pants or long shorts that cover your knees are best. If you will be renting climbing shoes, we also recommend wearing socks.
What to expect: When you arrive, our friendly staff will get you checked in and geared up, then walk you through a facility and safety orientation, which typically takes 15 minutes. We appreciate your patience – this orientation is required, and it’s the best way for us to make sure you know where everything is and how to manage risk effectively while at First Ascent.
We look forward to climbing with you!
